  • Project title: Encouragement of creativity in subjects of the Computer Architecture and Technology area applied to programmable hardware-based projects by means of a Blended Learning methodology and problem based learning.

    Funded by: Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (7th call on economical funding for the innovation and improvement of teaching).
    Duration: Academical year 2011/2012.
    Principal investigator: Dr Ángel Serrano Sánchez de León.

    It is basically a teaching innovation project with which we intend to improve the academical performance of the students of subjects of the Computer Architecture and Technology area.

  • Project title: Problem-based learning methodology with business role-playing aplied to teaching in the Computer Architecture and Technology area in degrees on Computer Science.

    Funded by: Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (6th call on economical funding for the innovation and improvement of teaching).
    Duration: Academical year 2010/2011.
    Principal investigator: Dr Cristina Conde Vilda.

    It is basically a teaching innovation project with which we intend to improve the academical performance of the students of subjects of the Computer Architecture and Technology area.

  • Project title: Development of a computer vision system for rocks size detection.

    Funded by: ENUSA (Spanish Uranium National Enterprise).
    Duration: November 1, 1997 - October 31, 1998.

    In this project we developed a video sensor able to estimate the size of mine rocks transported on a conveyor belt. If the size of a rock exceeded a critical threshold, it could get stuck, the system stopped the belt and an human operator was notified with an alarm.
